Sporhund — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-31

Sporhund helps you detect and log Bluetooth devices and the Wi-Fi network your iPhone is connected to, with the time and location they were last seen, and keep a register of devices you own. This policy explains what data the app handles.

What data the app processes

• Bluetooth device data: per-app device identifiers (iOS does not expose real MAC addresses), advertised names, and signal strength (RSSI) of Bluetooth devices in range.
• Wi-Fi: the name (SSID) and BSSID of the network your device is currently connected to. The app cannot scan other Wi-Fi networks or devices.
• Location: your device's location at the moment a Bluetooth device or Wi-Fi network is observed, so you can see where something was last seen.
• Your entries: names, categories and notes you add for devices you register as your own.

Where the data is stored

All data is stored on your device and synced only to your own private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. The developer does not operate any server and does not receive, see, sell, or share your data. There is no advertising and no third-party tracking.

Your control

You can delete all stored data at any time from the app's settings. Removing the app removes its local data; iCloud data follows Apple's iCloud data management.

Intended use

Sporhund is for finding and keeping track of your own devices and belongings. It is not intended to track other people or devices you do not own.
